the Project Vino Wine Tasting Notebook

The aim of rating wines on Project Vino is definitely not to find "the best of the best". The aim is to; a) help you remember what you thought of a particular wine and b) figure out which other wines (of the 1000s out there) you should try out. There are over 2000 wineries in Australia alone. If on average they produced 5 wines each, then that's over 10,000 wines each year for you to choose from. To find all the wines you like out of those thousands released each year would do some serious damage to your liver.

Vinotes - wine tasting notebook.

To help you get your experiences from the glass to the web, we've developed a printable tasting template. The idea is that you can print a few off and make your own take anywhere tasting journal. Keep it in the kitchen to record your thoughts on wines with dinner and then take it out to the restaurant too. When you have a few experiences on paper, you can transfer them to Project Vino to give us a better idea of what your recommendations should be.

Follow these steps to create your own guerrilla style tasting journal.

1. Download the Project Vino Wine Tasting Notebook here.
2. Print a few copies of the A4 sheet you just downloaded.
3. Cut up the printed pages along the 'cut lines'.
4. Clip them all together with a 'bulldog clip'.
5. Keep your new tasting journal close at hand.
6. Transfer you experiences to your Project Vino tasting journal when time permits.
7. Find wines you'll love based on your online tasting journal.
